A 13-year-old rescue dog named Olive gives her human a heartbreaking look whenever they prepare to leave the house, making it hard to walk out the door without stopping for another goodbye. The senior Border Collie appears to watch every move closely, as if she wants to make sure her person isn’t leaving her behind.

The video shows Olive standing inside the home and staring toward her human as they get ready to leave. Her black-and-white coat, white chest and upright ears give her the distinctive look of a Border Collie, while her gentle expression makes it difficult to ignore her. The text over the video explains the reason behind the delay: “The reason why it takes me so long to leave the house: a 13 year-old-rescue dog named Olive.”

Olive stands in the middle of the house and looks straight at the camera, almost as if she hopes her human will change their mind. In another close-up, Olive’s face fills the frame. Her wide eyes and calm expression make her look sad and hopeful, turning a simple goodbye into an emotional moment.

At 13, the senior rescue dog appears to have mastered the art of making her human feel guilty for leaving by looking at them. The video doesn’t explain exactly what Olive went through before finding her current home, but as a rescue dog, the moment gives added emotional weight. After spending years building a bond with her person, she seems unwilling to let them disappear without giving them one last look. Olive’s reaction may make it harder for her human to leave the house, and it is easy to see why.

The sweet senior quickly won over viewers, who focused on her affectionate expression and joked that she could make anyone cancel their plans. One user wrote, “What a sweet baby.” Another commented, “Awww, most beautiful Olive! Give that girl all the kisses!” One viewer wrote, “Awww…. So beautiful and clearly questioning your decision to leave the house!” Another joked, “This face requires a fully remote job.”
