After spending money on toys for their pup, Teddy’s human is amused to discover that his favorite option costs practically nothing. Meanwhile, the furry baby seems perfectly content chomping away at his oversized ice cube as his human keeps a close eye on the melting water to make sure it doesn’t drip onto the couch.

In a cute and funny dog video on Instagram, a Golden Retriever puppy named Teddy chooses a rather unexpected toy over his collection of expensive chew items. The clip begins from his owner’s point of view, with text reading, “You just spent $40 on chew toys, but this is the current obsession.” The camera then reveals Teddy comfortably settled on a gray couch.
Teddy is not simply relaxing, though. The adorable pup is happily chewing on his latest favorite toy: a giant cube of ice. As the Golden Retriever appears to be going through the teething stage, the cold ice may offer some relief while giving him something to gnaw on. Teddy keeps biting down on the cube to maintain his grip, refusing to let it slip away even as it gradually melts.
However, Teddy’s icy obsession also requires some assistance from his owner. As the cube melts, water begins dripping from the pup’s mouth while he remains on the couch. His human quickly steps in with a container beneath Teddy’s mouth, catching the droplets and keeping the couch dry.
