Canines are hilariously overpossessive of their paw parents. Things take an interesting turn when these fur babies have to share their owner’s love with human siblings. A recent post on social media has perfectly captured this instance. The video focuses on a dog named George who side-eyes his newborn brother for sitting on his mom’s lap.

A user named @woofitsgeorge took to their Instagram to share this adorable moment of their Mini Goldendoodle. The page covers the shenanigans of the “NYC pup & fam with champagne taste.”

In the video mentioned above, the Goldendoodle’s side-eye toward his newborn brother leaves one in stitches. The baby is seated on his mom’s lap while she is resting on the bed. George is also sitting closer to her, with her hand wrapped around his back.

However, the pooch seems to be longing for his owner’s soft lap, which the child now takes. The pup appears a little restless on the bed and ends up side-eyeing the newborn.

He lightly touches his mom, seemingly intending to take the baby’s place. The child gives George some cute expressions, as he might be confused by his actions. “POV: the new guy is in your spot again,” the human writes on the video.

It looks like this is not the first time the baby has taken the pup’s place. However, the Goldendoodle cannot hide his jealousy. The dog mom elaborates in the caption, “the side eye of a firstborn who’s seen enough.” It is normal for canines to feel jealous when human siblings arrive. George and the baby might eventually share their mom’s love, with their bond growing stronger over the years.

Netizens shared their reactions to the wholesome video, with one saying, “Oh George, it’s going to take some getting used too Just wait until you can hang out under the highchair for snacks.” Another one wrote, “Aw, they are both so cute.” A third user commented, “I can’t cope with this cuteness.”
