You’ll usually find Rhu, the Cocker Spaniel, exploring the scenic Scottish Highlands with his human. But in this clip, he’s stuck outside on the patio staring through the glass door. Everything is fine in the video until he spots mom reaching for her jacket.
Suddenly, the calm dog disappears, replaced by pure panic. He is absolutely convinced he’s being left behind. Moreover, you can see his frantic face on @rhu.golden.show.cocker, where he reminds his 6.8k followers that he sometimes has zero chill.
Dog gets a case of FOMO when he sees mom put on a jacket
The video opens with Rhu standing completely still as he watches from the patio, but the second that his mom’s jacket comes out, his “chaotic energy” officially takes over. He starts pawing at the glass so fast it becomes a total blur, which is a classic move for a clingy breed like a Cocker Spaniel.
It’s a frantic performance that is impossible to ignore because out of sight never means out of mind for Rhu. He is making sure that he is the very first thing his mom thinks about before she even touches the doorknob to head out.
Rhu just keeps at it, hitting the door with both paws. All this while he stares with wide eyes, waiting for someone to let him inside. “Don’t worry he was always coming with me but he definitely thought I had forgotten about him,” his owner shared in the caption. He doesn’t care about the plan, though. He just wants to be exactly where the action is right this second.
His mom is filming the clip, so he obviously sees that she can see him, and yet he doesn’t stop. He continues his frantic little dance against the glass until he’s 100% sure he’s going with her.
One viewer observed that “he looks like he’s boxing.” And really, his footwork is pretty impressive for a dog. Another person called it a “perfectly normal reaction” for the breed because they are just built a little bit “different”. Everyone in the comments seems to agree that he is absolutely adorable. Even if he is being a total drama queen about the situation.
