Getting startled by a strange noise is one thing, but realizing the noise just came from your own yawn is a little harder to process. That is exactly what happens to Peaches, who is enjoying some attention from mom when a big yawn takes an unexpected turn.
A funny snort escapes from her throat, and the Labrador Retriever stops halfway through, looking genuinely caught off guard by what she just heard. In the video shared by @peachesthewagador, her mom immediately starts laughing, while the pup seems ready to move past the incident altogether.

When the video starts, Peaches looks completely relaxed as her mom pets her in the living room. She glances at the camera for a second, gives a slow blink, and then settles into a big yawn. Her tongue is already hanging out when an unexpected snort comes from her throat. The pup immediately stops.
The change in her expression is almost too good. She looks startled by the noise, as though she needs a second to work out where it came from. Her mom, meanwhile, starts laughing loudly. That seems to convince Peaches that the yawn is no longer worth discussing.
Instead of trying again, she turns toward her mom and starts licking her face while she is still laughing. It is a pretty effective way to move the conversation along, especially after that very embarrassing interruption.
