In the clip, Bruno proves that he has inherited every bit of that stubborn Jack Russell energy. As we see in the video, this dog has decided that once he is settled on a warm blanket, he simply will not move. His mom may have to use the loo really badly, but this dog isn’t giving up his comfortable spot.
Dog gives owner the side-eye when asked to move from his spot
The standoff starts in the living room while the TV plays in the background, and Dionne Parrett is cozy under a blanket. Bruno is sitting right on top, looking like he is literally glued to the fabric. As she tries to explain that she really needs to head to the bathroom, the pup just stares back with those massive, pleading eyes.
He clearly understands the request, but he refuses to acknowledge her urgency. When Parrett slides her hand toward the edge of the blanket, Bruno follows the motion carefully, only to immediately hit her with a legendary side-eye.
Then the protest gets even more dramatic as the seconds tick by. Bruno leans in closer, as though that will make his mom forget about the bathroom break. He then smacks his lips and lets out a massive yawn. The mere thought of relocating seems to be physically exhausting to him. One viewer joked that he is basically telling her, “You live in that spot now.” The choice of music, “Trapped In the Drive-Thru,” makes the whole thing a whole lot funnier.
The internet is fully on Bruno’s side with over 30,000 likes and counting. People can’t get enough of his quiet rebellion, with one fan mentioning that his expressions are just too precious to ignore. Another person even suggested that Dionne might as well start wearing diapers because this little guy is not budging. Despite her bladder’s protests, the adorable way he blinks at her makes it impossible to be truly mad. As his mom puts it, “Bruno ignores me unless he’s getting something out of it!” This video is a prime example of a dog not wanting to move, no matter the emergency.
