Pumpkin, the Corgi, has found a perfectly good place to lie down, and unfortunately for Strudel, her son, it happens to be directly on top of him. The mom and son are sprawled across their human’s lap, with Strudel underneath and Pumpkin casually stacked on top. In the video shared by @nuggetthepembroke, both dogs are wide awake, which somehow makes the whole arrangement even funnier. They are not napping or wrestling.
They are simply hanging out like this is how most dogs cuddle. Their human even asks via the in-video caption, “Can your dogs do this?” after showing off the unusual two-dog setup.

The video is shot from above the couch, giving a pretty clear look at the situation. Strudel is lying across mom’s lap, and Pumpkin has settled directly on him, creating a very compact Corgi pile. Then the camera moves closer, and the position looks even funnier. Both dogs have their legs stretched out, neither seems particularly bothered, and Pumpkin looks perfectly happy with her chosen spot.
The caption explains the attitude behind it all: “Sorry not sorry I love taking advantage of their nonchalant mama + son dynamic.” And evidently, Strudel is nonchalant enough to let Mom use him as furniture.
The comments had plenty of names for the cuddle routine. One person joked that they had never seen a dog perform “mitosis” before. Someone else called them “double decker,” while another admitted they initially thought the two were conjoined.
Then came “potato sammich,” “dog stack,” and possibly the simplest explanation of all: “must be as close to mom as possible.” That last one does fit, because both dogs are settled on their human’s lap and seem completely content to stay there. Pumpkin and Strudel sure have managed to create a cozy setup.
The video has more than 10,000 likes. One person even admitted their own Corgi would never agree to such an arrangement because she values her personal space too much.
