In an adorable video from @tommybluestaff on Instagram, a Blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog named Tommy and a baby known as Baby A ride on a homemade sled, and it might just be one of the cutest things you have seen all day. The video starts with Dad building the contraption out of a long cardboard box. Tommy stands nearby, supervising every move, as the on-screen text echoes what anyone would ask the dad — “What the heck are you making?”

A moment later, Dad threads a string through a coin to create a pull point, and the answer arrives in another on-screen text on the video, as it notes, “A sled for my dog, duh” — also for the baby, who decides to just ride along.
When Dad finally sets the box down, Tommy climbs in and braces for the ride. Then, dad grabs the string and jogs forward, dragging Tommy across the wooden floor — and the Blue Staffy, for his part, rides it out calmly, looking steady and trusting of his dad.
But the best part comes when Baby A hears the action and lets out what the caption describes as “That squeal of delight when Baby A sees him zoom by.” In the next moment, the video shows Baby A getting her turn, right there in the sled with the dog, while dad pulls both of them along for the ride like a one-man amusement park.
Viewers loved the adventure. One viewer highlighted Baby A’s grip, writing, “It’s her little hands holding on and on Tommy’s back,” while another added, “The way she rides with her arm around him OMG.” A third user noticed how Tommy “was so calm once baby sister was put next to him.”
The dog and Baby A may not know it, but their adventure in the video just set a pretty high bar for family fun on the weekend.
