Indian traffic can be one of the most infuriating things to bear with horns blaring and the whole city seems to be shouting at once. But this Instagram video from @agniuncle features an adorable Indian dog named Lucifer, who has more important plans than to heed the noise — watching the sunset. In the video, Lucifer sits on a balcony as the sky turns gold. He faces the open view and sits still while the street noise carries on below, and the on-screen text notes, “This is how noisy it gets but nothing calms him as much as seeing his sun.”

There is a good reason this might soothe Lucifer, even in a loud place like Mumbai. Dogs often settle down and feel calm when they focus on something predictable and familiar. If a fur baby watches the sunset daily, it can easily become part of their routine. With the same light, same timing, same view, and with the same person, they might feel safe, like Lucifer probably does in this video. There could be a lot of noise outside, but the sun going down can feel like a sign to rest.
Meanwhile, viewers loved Lucifer’s calm energy.
